Three laws and using meditation to help focus on what matters.

A few years ago I was doing a lot of work on my throat chakra. Every night I would meditate using this meditation. (3) Chakra Meditation Series 5th Chakra/Throat Note G.wmv – YouTube

I chose it for the bowls. Meditation with Tibetan bowls has always produced a deepened state of relaxation and helped me to feel peace for longer periods throughout the day. After a few weeks of doing this particular meditation every day I noticed that we had had an impressively long stretch of sunny, clear, blue skies .It made me wonder, how deep is our inner connection to the outside world? I’ve been trying to understand the depths at which we create ever since. Here are some things I found out.

Self is usually not noticed or experienced because we focus so much on the ego. Those personal beliefs we’ve  created with the help of our parents, society, and the choices we make. The Self is not that person we think we are. The Self is that little voice inside of us telling us to get back on the curb as the car comes out of nowhere. It is the feeling you have when you tenderly hold that baby and rock it ever so gently in your arms. It is that feeling that everything will be all right. Our guide in this world is our true nature, that Self, perhaps, the soul. It is loving, peaceful, grateful, trusting, and hopeful. It naturally looks to the positive, to love. It is always with us. It bears witness to what we do without comment, and yet it is us, and guides us.

Still, there are laws in this world. One simple rule is inescapable. Like thoughts attract like thoughts and the end result of that is you create what you think, and you create it with the feelings you choose to focus on. You can choose to create using the Self as a guide, or you can create with fear and frustration.

For me, thoughts are building blocks, attitude is paramount, and meditation is key. The three laws below are also aspects of a single law, the perfect law, the Law of Creation.

The Laws

The Law of Attraction – like thoughts attract like events. If we see it, feel it, taste it, smell it, even hear it, we are attracting it to us, and manifesting it. Feel that you already have it and it is yours.  In this energetic world, we create using what we have, our energy, our light. Each of our senses is a perception of that energy. The focus, attention, and sensations of our desire pull that reality to us in the simplicity of our own focus. This is why gratitude is so powerful. When you are grateful you embrace an idea as if you already have it because you do. That is where the loop comes in, you have it, you recreate it, you get it again, you are grateful, and you recreate it. Thoughts matter.

The Law of Manifestation – the perfect law, also known as karma, you get back what you put out, or what goes around comes around, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, all refer to the attitude and tone of creation. A mean, closed spirit creates meanness and destructive situations. An open, loving spirit creates growth and joyful situations. Creation reflects the vibratory frequency with which you create.  If you want money, joyfully focus on receiving money.  If you wish joy or peace imagine the feeling of joy or peace radiating in your body and out of your body. Feel it, and it will color your creation. Joy, love, and peace are now the qualities of your creation. They are intrinsic to it. The flip side of that is when you are angry, frustrated, or hateful, you are creating. The things that are created will have the qualities of anger, frustration, and hate. You’ll get what you want, but it will be more like an Edgar Allen Poe story than the joyful experience you were seeking.

The Law of Inertia – an object continues in the same direction unless an external force acts on it You continue to get more of what you focus upon, when you focus on fear, for instance, you have scary things happen to you and you become more fearful, creating more scary things and yet more fear. To break out of this cycle one must be their own external force by changing the focus of the mind. One can rely on outside forces, like a partner, a train wreck, or bumping into someone to help stop destructive thoughts, but the most powerful way of taking control of your life is to recognize destructive, fearful, angry thoughts and stop. Stop holding them, change your focus. The quicker, the better. Gratitude is a fantastic distraction from destructive thinking. When you are grateful, you create more things to be grateful for and focus on.as mentioned above,  in turn creating more things to be grateful for.

Meditation

With all this physical stuff and focusing on the mind is indeed physical. It’s related to this physical plane. How does meditation fit? Why meditate? Who has time? We are all focusing on joy, completing our gratitude journals, and doing our day-to-day living. With all this living why should we meditate what good does it do?

The most important part of manifestation is meditation. Not contemplation, not visualization, not humming, but that deep meditation where you feel your Self so completely that only love exists. You have momentarily let go of all the issues of the day, and it is only now. It is in this moment of silence when transcendence occurs, and the magic happens. Because here is the key that no one talks about. In order to manifest something, you must let go. Completely. Once you have done the work, perhaps you do the 369 practice, great! You have only done the first part. You have done the focus. Now let it go. Sit in no mind. Stare the paint on the wall. Look at the space in front of you. Close your eyes and look into the darkness, whatever you do to calm the mind, and let the thoughts pass like clouds in the sky until you have come to no thoughts. If the clouds are thoughts, no mind is the bright blue, empty sky. Those moments are the moments where the magic happens. It might be at that moment that your desired object manifests. It might not be until much later, but creating the space for the manifestation is necessary. The peace produced in those moments is real and lasting, so that’s another plus.

Enjoy and Namaste *~
